
AICS membership is a pathway to being at the very highest levels of the cyber industry. Membership opens the door to completing the AICS accreditation. With this accreditation you set yourself apart from every other cyber professional and provide the leadership, guidance, and expertise to your clients and colleagues.
Membership levels are calibrated to the experience of each member and include:
Associate of AICS (AAICS) – the standard level for IT and Cyber Security professionals or non-IT professionals and managers who have Cyber Security responsibilities in their organisation. You can use the AAICS post-nominals if you have paid your membership dues but have not completed any courses.
Member of AICS (MAICS) – once you have completed the Foundations of Cyber Security Course and subscribed you are officially a member of AICS and can use the post-nominals MAICS. This is the first step to attaining expertise in the cyber security profession.
Graduate (GAICS) – for Members who have completed the AICS Accreditation Process including the AICS Course and who meet the eligibility requirements and standards of good character. This carries all the prestige and responsibility expected of the leading cyber security organisation in Australia and wearing the “GAICS” label is something you will wear with pride. You will also need to complete continuing education to continue to use the post-nominals.
Fellow (FAICS) – for members who are invited to sit as a fellow of the AICS. This requires the invitees to be of particular standing in the profession and take responsibility for the guidance and direction of the Institute and the profession.
Corporate Membership (All levels) – AICS also caters for Corporate Memberships which open the door for multiple candidates, additional benefits, sponsorship and partnership opportunities, and more.
