What is Cyber Skills for Lawyers? (AICSL)
This course equips legal professionals with the cyber security knowledge needed to protect client data, meet professional conduct obligations, and advise on cyber-related legal issues.
Lawyers are high-value targets for cyber attackers. The trust that clients and counterparties place in legal correspondence makes law firms and in-house counsel particularly attractive for fraud, impersonation, and data theft. The Cyber Skills for Lawyers course equips legal practitioners with the practical knowledge, skills, and tools to identify cyber security risks and protect themselves, their clients, and their organisations from cyber attacks. No prerequisites are required and the course is designed to stand alone. Lawyers who complete the course are eligible for Continuing Legal Education (CLE) and Continuing Professional Development (CPD) points, and course content is tailored to meet those requirements.
