The AICS is passionately dedicated to improving the quality of the Cyber Security profession and protecting society from Cyber Security threats and issues. Our Governance is central to meeting that goal because it dictates how the organisation is run internally.

As a national body, we have reach, presence and membership in all seven Australian states and territories. Our board structure is administered through an advisory board which provides non-binding consultative advice to our Executive team.

Every month of the year, we run hundreds of professional events, seminars, webinars and courses that enrich the technical and professional capabilities of participants so that they may be better able to resolve the cyber security issues that confront businesses, government and every day consumers.

The AICS holds an Annual General Meeting (AGM) together with an Annual Conference every year in late November or early December with the venue changin every year.

Our organisation operates through an executive with an Advisory Board providing oversight within the framework of relevant legislation (including the Corporations Act), our Constitution and Board Charter.

The responsibilities of the Advisory Board include providing guidance on setting and reviewing the AICS’s strategic direction, guidance on organisational performance, and deciding on key policy and advocacy positions of the AICS.

Diversity

The AICS respects and values diversity, the competitive advantage it brings and the benefit of integrating the philosophy of diversity throughout our organisation. The purpose of doing so is to enrich the AICS’s as an organisation through it’s perspective, improved performance, increased member value, and enhanced likelihood of achieving our goals and objectives.
