This entry level course is designed to provide the sound grounding for any person who wishes to learn more about Cyber Security and provide practical knowledge that can be applied in the workplace. This course also forms part of a precursor to the Accreditation Course and up to 50% recognised prior learning.

The course includes:
1. An introductory module that takes the participants on a journey through the origins of Cyber Security as a concept and as a profession, as well as definitions, terminology and relevant concepts.

2. A technical module that introduces participants to some Cyber Security processes that are both practical and useful for general application in the work place or in consumer scenarios.

3. A finishing module that allows participants to put some of the concepts they have learnt about into a relevant but simple case study. The skills and knowledge developed allows participants to be able to identify basic problems in the Cyber Security, and be able to understand the problem at a general level and be able to refer the issues on to a more qualified Cyber Security professional.
