The AICS Team

The AICS team is a national network of accredited cyber security professionals. Our members are verified practitioners who meet Australia’s standard for professional excellence and ethical conduct.

Australia’s Accredited Cyber Security Professionals

Membership with the Australian Institute of Cyber Security (AICS) is more than a title; it is a formal recognition of a practitioner’s skills, experience, and commitment to the profession. Our ‘team’ is the entire body of members who have earned their professional designation through a rigorous verification process.

Practitioners hold chartered designations including Graduate Member (GAICS), Member (MAICS), and Fellow (FAICS). These post-nominals signify their accredited status and seniority within the industry, providing a clear benchmark for employers and clients looking to engage a qualified expert.

Before granting a designation, AICS assesses each applicant’s formal qualifications, practical experience, and professional history. This process ensures that every individual on our register has a proven track record and meets the high standards expected of a professional institute.

Engaging an AICS Practitioner

When you work with a professional holding an AICS designation, you are engaging a practitioner committed to the highest standards of practice. Our framework provides clear assurances for the public and for employers, built on verification, ethics, and ongoing professional development.

Upholding a Code of Conduct

All members are bound by the AICS Code of Conduct, which enforces ethical behaviour, integrity, and professional accountability. This commitment protects the public interest and maintains the integrity of the profession.

Current and Competent Practice

To maintain their chartered status, members must undertake regular Continuing Professional Development (CPD). This ensures their skills and knowledge remain current with the fast-moving landscape of cyber security threats and technologies.
